well, not really :p it's more of a license agreement question.

anyone know if it's in violation of the agreement to install the same copy of WoW on more than one computer, assuming both computers will be used by the same person with the same account?

I want to install it on both my desktop and laptop, so I can play WoW at work too :D

just wanted to bump this thread because I got an official answer back from Blizzard today :)

Thank you for contacting Blizzard Entertainment! World of Warcraft accounts are generated using the authentication key included in each retail copy. This key controls only the account creation; it is not needed in order to install the game client onto a computer. Therefore, you are able to install the game on as many computers as you wish, however, you will only be able to access your account from one location at a time.

If you wish to play from multiple locations at a time it will be necessary to create a separate account for each user or location. This does necessitate the purchase of additional copies of World of Warcraft.

hmmm. good question. i would assume that it is, but morally i would say its ok. you're paying for the account after all.

its fine, i have it installed on many computers and with my copy i gave my friend a 10 day pass so blizzard obviously wants you to install it in as many places as possible.

No. I do this myself in fact. It's on my laptop and desktop, so I can be addicted no matter where I go.

I have it on at work and at home. I believe only one computer can access an account at a time. So intsalling it on millions of computers wouldn't matter.

You can install it on as many computers as you want... you can only log into one account at a time anyways, so it doesn't matter... this is also why these games don't have CD protection on them.

Well they can blow me if they think I'm gonna buy 2 copies. I share 1 copy/account with one of my brothers. We just play at different times.

I think you buy the Account key, not the software per se. So you should be free to install it wherever you want.
