Been playing for almost a year now and I can't believe I still want to play...I did take a two month break though.

I was invited to join the Tri-Horde Alpha push, but didn't start testing (playing) until the first week of February.

EQ2 is set to be released around the same time as WoW.... and it's had a much shorter beta sounds rushed to me. Blizzard seems to be rushing a bit to, but not as bad as EQ2.

I just want to say that the open should be starting soon and release is Novermber 16 in North America, I already pre-ordered my copy.

AFAIK the combat is real time. Turns have nothing to do with it. And my limited playing experience during the stress test pretty much confirmed that it's real time.

Weapon speed is the main factor in who hits when. That and the casting time of spells.

That's just an estimated date set by stores, Blizzard has already said there is no confirmed release date.

Where/when did Blizzard say this? I am a Beta tester and browsing the WoW forums I have not seen a blue post stating a release date in November or any date.

Sorry, misunderstood the article. It was the publisher's projected release date not the developers. Besides if Vivendi and EB Games are saying its in November then i'm pretty sure its an accurate prediction. But then again there is a very good chance I am wrong.

I am pretty sure it is. You can even download the patches right now to keep it update when it goes open. Just log in using your stress test username and the game will update.

i am 85% certain they will make that date

they have to beat black friday so nov. 16 seems like the perfect timing for it


as for the open beta i am speculating it will begin the first week in november because it definitely is not going to run for longer than two weeks
