Just to let you guys/gals know if you know someone with the game
Ask them to let you use this disc..
install it and then go to WorldOf Warcraft.com and set up the account
It's much quicker than Download 3GB file..Also Once you install from the disc's the first time you play you'll have to get the updates first!!

then...Into the World of Azeroth..enjoy the crack..it keeps you coming back(My Quote :) )

Yes but is this legal to use someone elses cds of World of WarCraft so you don't have to sit downloading a 3 gig file during this 10 day free trial ? Are they both the same thing? The cds you borrow from a friend of World of WarCraft and this download for the trial version I am talking about. What if it doesn't work because it checks something with the free 10 day trial key?

2) I haven't even had the game a year yet, and I've spent enough time playing that I could have cured cancer. Something like.... 3 months playing time?

My list of chars:
48 warrior
47 warrior
42 rogue
42 mage
39 priest
35 druid
29 druid
27 mage
25 shammy
22 warlock

Not to mention about 100 other alts between level 10-20.

Like I said before, save yourself while you still can. :)

Are you sure this is the case with everyone in the world that plays WOW?

I so remember watching dateline, or something like that once, about a doctor who played Everquest constantly whenever he was home from work. He never spent any time we his family hardly or did anything. He had a wife and two little girls. He was missing everything all because of everquest. I couldn't believe it.

The thing I don't get is how was he able to stop to beable to go to work and be a doctor ? lol

Yes it is VERY legal to use someone elses CDs they even recommend that for the 10 day trials that they give away in the retail box quote "Loan a friend your Game CDs to install World of Warcraft on his or her machine (your friend will not need the CDs to play the game after installation)."

On the page where it has your beta key it says to continue playing you have to buy a retail copy. Gosh Darnit.

I

Kidding yourself if you think that you could have gotten a retail copy for free, hehe.

Actually, no. There was a deal a while back where a WoW CD came in a magazine with a free trial and after the free trial you could just keep playing for the cost of subscription.

CK

negatory, that didn't come through. read the whole thread.

edit: oh yeah, and get the patches from filefront.com or something instead of using blizzard's stupid updater.

This is a pretty sweet deal. You can borrow form any friends who have the cd if you want, but 3GB isn't that much of a d/l these days. I bought the game a few months ago and have been playing it pretty often ever since. It's the only game I've played that I can dedicate an entire day to and still wish I had more time to play. It's pretty addictive. I get my 15 dollars/month worth for sure.

Just a warning, if you play the free trial you will buy the game. So be ready :)

How can you be so sure? :D

I don't think everyone who ever plays it can like it. Some may think its ok or pretty good but not enough to get them to want to keep playing. Then again we will see.

This is the time when I wish I had Verzion FIOS 30 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload or OOL's 50Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload plus a super computer with the latest Seagate or Maxtor's 15,000 rpm hard drives, whichever is faster, with everything else the fastest and at least 4 gigs of the fastest ram. Wait a minute I changed my mind on hard drives. Solid State hard drives lol.

LOL I just began the free 10 day trial and after a few hours I stopped playing and want to cancel my free 10 day trial already. Either A) I don't know exactly what I am doing yet B) I don't like these kind of games or C) I want to get straight to the action parts because everything else to me is boring!

Is there anyway to get straight to parts that have lots of action constantly ? That would be more like it! Or at least a place where I can start driving stuff!

Am I limiting myself or just so new to it I don't know what I am doing lol ?

Keep playing for a little while, when I first tried this game I didn't really care for it but it grows on you just see what happens. :)

When does the 10-day trial's time start counting down? Does this end on a certain date or does it end 10 days after you create the account?

wow dude, the game practically starts when you hit 60, so i'd suggest picking one and just sticking with it. get in a decent-sized guild and check out all the end-game content. it's worth it

I feel the same way right now. Its so boring and I have no idea what I am doing.

Though it runs very well on my pc which I did not expect, well for now, it may not when something really crazy goes on.

My pc is only a Abit KT7A Raid, Athlon XP 1800+, 250 gig 7200 rpm hard drive, 256 mb of sdram, Leadtek Geforce 4 ti 4400, and santa cruz sound card. Mostly all details are maxed except for one or two. The game set it like that for me. It even set AF, I believe it was a little. I was surprised it was still running fine because of that sense it kills a lot of older cards. I only changed my refresh rate from 60 to 85 hz on the 1024x768 resolution I lay at right now. Don't think my system could handle 1600x1200 or even the one a little lower than that.

Have you been teaming up with other players that makes it much funner. The ppl you play with almost become like a friend. Also it gets really exciting when you get to do some PVP (player verses player) action, but thats often rare below lvl 20.

Um.... yeah.

Lvl 60 druid (Alliance)
lvl 60 druid (Horde)
lvl 37 warrior
lvl 25 hunter
lvl 24 warlock
lvl 17 mage
lvl 12 rogue

I've played since launch. Total play time is near 3 months. 1/4 of my life since launch!? I cancelled my subscription last month since I've got a new son. Kinda figure I should be there for that.

How much you play depends on willpower and c'mon, who needs sleep anyway? I'm a sucker for this game. It's way fun, even with limited endgame content for lvl 60's. My real dilemma is whether to sell the characters. Lots purples on my horde druid... would go for a lot.

World of Warcrack. Hella fun, mebbe too fun.

:D
Shakapa, er Panoramix um....

No I don't know how lol or what I am suppose to do. i just started playing this game and so far to me its very boring. I don't even know hoe to control the person very well. At least not when attacking creatures.

wont u lose your level 60 characters if u dont subscribe back again in 3 months? I think they delete inactive characters after 3-6 months. Then all that time u spent on wow deleted.
