Damn. Should have never looked at this thread. WoW has claimed at least 6 hours per day so far since last Tuesday. You people were right, this game is addicting.

yeah, and i hit the max level 20 on the 2nd day. so now im like a level 20 all star.

but a ZERO in Real Life! j/k that must have taken the better part of that time period.

Are you using WinZip? If not, that's why you're getting the corrupt file message. Use WinZip 9 or above. Or just get the disk from a copy of Maxim magazine.

I'll get that sometimes too. I remember I couldn't ever get the EQII trial to download because it was corrupted everytime. I didn't mess with trying to download it through my browser this time. I just hit up a BT site and got the images. Blizzard's got me hooked now. Going to be pricematching at Walmart tomorrow

I am disappointed. The graphics are "cartoonish", the voice overs= silly. I can't believe it is so popular. I at least expected it to look good.

What are you talking about WoW has some of the best graphics of any MMORPG. You obviously haven't played other online role playing games. Try something like Dark age of Camolet and you will laugh at how bad the graphics are (and gameplay) compared to WoW.

Gotta agree here...WoW and guild Wars have superb graphics. GW in particular...especially when you compare them with other MMORPG's.

he means the characters looks like a cartoon (which they do).

ryl2 for example looks like real people (ryl.net)

Well my trial ended and I couldn't help but buy the game for $25 at best buy. I was absolutely sure I would never buy a game that required a subscription. Well anyone else buy the game even though they were sure they wouldn't?

wow this is so nice. I got a free 14 day trial in my October issue of CGW which I played. Then I got another 14 day with Maxim and now another 10 with fileplanet. So I played a month and half at zero cost. Only downer is you cant carry over the character but then I play like 2 hours a day so not real serious about it. I also tried COH, another 14 day trial from the mag but didnt like it at all. I also got a GW account I traded for my free steam account that I got with my 9800XT purchase and the game is installed and sitting on my hard disk, havent played it for like 2 months and dont fell the need to because of so many awesome games that are now available. MMO are surely a big money drainer and timekiller but it couldnt scar me. I will gladly spend 100 hours playing CSS, COD2 and NFSMW than waste 15 bucks a month on a single game.
