World of Warcraft *AQUIRED* thread!

too bad we can't PLAY the game.. west servers are hosed. I had the client crash on me 3 times in a row...
 
Yea Hyjal (PST) is jacked atm. Database lag made me loot a mob, run into the distance, then die to an add like a mile away, then I crashed. I came back and the item I looted was gone and I was where I was before I killed it.

I played all day, then signed out for dinner. big mistake. Couldn't get back in because there were about 700+ people in front of me waiting....

Lag was a problem, since everyone jammed the newbie areas.

The Blizzard forums are full of people complaining about this queue problem. Blizzard added a bunch more servers, but obviously people don't want to switch if they just spent the whole day starting their new characters! Blizzard really needs to come up with a more dynamic queue system instead of a basic server cap. They also should come up with a way for people to move their characters to different servers. Otherwise this problem won't go away.

For the most part during the day it was fun. I built up my Tauren Shaman to level 13! It was a lot of fun. I did mostly solo stuff with a few small pickup groups. Most people didn't know what they were doing. I got yelled at by one dude because I killed a cougar he was going to kill. My mistake, I thought he'd get the kill since his pet attacked first. Unfortunately I stole the kill because hsi char didn't do the attacking. I tried to apologize, but he just kept yelling at me and finally walked away. 🙁 The lag got pretty bad at a couple times, not sure why exactly. But it was for everyone, not just me. The general chat went crazy with people complaining. Must have been server problems or something.

Hopefully tonight and through the weekend will be better. 🙂
 
here's my story:
1) at lunch, went to circuit city, no more wow... went to eb games paid full price (1 hour)
2) get home from work, install the 4 disc game (30 minutes)
3) Sign up for an account (20 minutes)
4) Start up WoW, get in a queue (30 minutes)
5) Play for 1 hour
6) game crashes, get back in queue again (30 minutes)
7) game crashes AGAIN, get back in queue (30 minutes)
8) crashes yet AGAIN, restart comp get back in queue (30 minutes)
9) play for 2 minutes, get lagged out

So in other words I get 1h2m of play time for 3h50m of work. They better fix things tonight or :|:| ($55 + $15 a month :|:|)

try 5 hour que for 2 hours of play....
quit complaining id take 30 mins any day

The server queues are only temporary though, it's to encourage people to use other servers. So far, I'm pretty happy with this game. My only problem is having to work the last three days.

Really dont think they gonna be able to solve the que problem on Archimonde... the problem isn the cue.. the problem is too many guilds that wont move becasue the guild they are allies with or enemies with are on this server...

SiN, DDH.SoB, TR, Nurfed, CC, and craploads of other PVP guilds all followed SiN to Archimonde beceause we have been fighting each other or allied with each other for over 10 years...
there are over 50 guilds that initially agreed to come with us to this server... we figured out the number or peeps combined to around 500-900 players roughly 40-50 members in each PVP guild...
this does not count the other guilds that have nothing to do with us that also started there and are not willing to move...
Arhimonde is destined to be an overpopulated POS =/
 
lol, my friend gave me his 10 day trial pass, too bad I don't have a credit card to "activate" it with 🙁 I guess i'll just wait until the game cards are viable options as an account creation option.
