Agreed, WiC was my favorite RTS of 2007, and that includes big titles like Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, Supreme Commander + Forged Alliance and Sins of a Solar Empire. WiC is a bit different from other RTS in the sense you control fewer units and there's no active resource gathering or management. Its just lots of action and micro of few units in a modern warfare environment. The 3D engine is simply incredible and puts every other RTS to-date to shame in terms of visuals and camera control.

I actually purchased WiC for a LAN party where the publisher was sponsoring a tournament in it... but the LAN lost their venue. My copy is still shrink-wrapped. Maybe I'll bust it open someday.

I love the smell of nukes in the morning... The smell, you know that nuclear smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory.

Just picked this game up at Amazon (used & new) for $18.99 shipped.
I took a chance of an RTS game of this kind due to its intense graphic and what nots in which I'm not a RTS player but rather a FPS, myself.

Buy this for the awesome multiplayer. The single player campaign is fun but extremely short and there's very little replayability compared to something like Sins of a Solar Empire. The tactical deployment system in World in Conflict is a blast at LAN parties, however, and it's still one of my favorites.
