they're all supposed to be in high def.

do you know which station is covering it?

ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 are covering it in the US. So you would likely need to have ABCHD, ESPNHD, and ESPN2HD to watch the games in HD.

i was running through the Lists of all the programs and there wasn't anything under "World Cup" in the W's section but i'll have to try again. prolly just being a complete dingbat and looked @ too early a date

ESPN2HD is the primary channel for the World Cup. There's a game on right now, if you're in front of the TV. ABCHD will show some games, primarily at night, I believe, and ESPN has just a couple, AFAIK.

Comcast has PERMANENTLY added ESPN2 to the HDTV lineup, which is great news 🙂.

since when ?

what city are you in? I don't think they have added this to the Dallas area...

what channel was it anyway? ESPNHD for us is 202...

Everyone I'm talking to nation-wide has gotten it added. I have ESPNHD on 202 as well, and ESPN2 is now on 203. I'm in Central Jersey.

I saw a commercial during the Ecuador - Poland match for tomorrow's lineup. I know that the first 2 games tomorrow (England vs Paraguay and Trinidad & Tobago vs Sweden) are both on ABCHD. I believe the 3rd game tomorrow (Argentina vs Ivory Coast) is on ESPN2 and might be on HD as well, but I don't remember.

I found listings for the matches here .

I'm gonna get flamed for this, but Soccer is a sport one plays, not watch. Most of the hype I see surrounding international soccer is merely an excuse for excessive nationalism.

I used to be a hockey fan when I was a kid and played all the sports, but I soon outgrew that. While being at an NHL hockey game is a thrill, I have trouble quantifying the skills required to play the game as being that difficult. I'm sorry, but soccer is merely hockey played on grass.

I love professional or college basketball, or even tennis, but I'm sorry, I can't get into watching soccer and don't get the hype. It's like, American Football, but with only linebackers on each team, and you can only touch the ball with your feet.

I  you!
Hockey FTW! 😉

Over next week? Try tomorrow when we play Italy. Oh, yeah you're right. We'll still get to play Ghana 😉
