Japan sucked at PKs, and the Croatia keeper did fantastic. He'd break in one direction early, but the Japanese shooter time and again wouldn't change his shot direction. It's like they predetermined it, and chose not to use that split second of timing to kick away from the keeper. 🙄

PKs are the worst way to go out. I feel bad for Japan.
I played GK for many years and know the highs and lows of a PK win and loss.

For me, that was the OMG goal of the WC so far. He essentially mocked his defender, bouncing the ball 3 times off the top of his head while being marked, dropped it to his foot in passing to a teammate, then positioned himself ahead and booted the return pass into the net nonchalantly. I don't think I've ever seen the like. That was brutal!

I don't watch much football, but the Moroccan keeper owned the PK shooters. Was amazing to watch because he broke (guessed) at the last possible moment and was correct all 3 times.
