"Another scandal that nobody seems to be paying attention to."

"The lion's share of the theft of development funds occurs in the implementation of projects and the use of loan funds by client governments," he said.

It has no traction because it is the Rich Boys Club themselves playing Monopoly with all the Politicians they own.

You must not be thrilled that you were left out of the "Game".

Welcome to the "Left Out" club. :D

No one else cares? Dave only half heartedly cares - and that's only because he has something more to blame on "the Rich Boys Club".

Figures...

Never a bad idea. However, some people have speculated that even gold would become worthless in a mega mega crash.

As my dad has said regarding mega crashes: "If you can't eat it, it is worthless."

Having known and talked to "survivalists" he claims that one of the most valuable items during a mega crash would be coffee. The reason why is that a lot of people would want it, but wouldn't be able to get it due to the fact that almost all coffee is imported, and during a mega crash all imports would probably cease. Plus, it can be stored in large containers for long periods of time without going bad.

I'm not one to claim a crash is on the horizon, but what I will say is that in a ripe environment it could be touched off by some huge scandal (kind of like this world bank one). Also, what I will say is that what is going on today just can't keep going on forever. The government and the public are literally up to their eyeballs in debt, tens of trillions of dollars to be more precise. Specifically, the government is now relying on foreign governments to fund the national debt. The rate at which debt is being added just can't continue forever, at some point something has to be done and it will be interesting to see what exactly is done. In any event, if the government continues racking up huge deficits a crash will eventually occur. Maybe very soon, or maybe in a decade or so, who knows.
