Sorry to be a pain but why 2 routers...any specific reason.....one router could probably handle all your LAN and net needs!!!

Also let us know what model of routers you have..as there are a few wireless linksys routers available..

one is a WRT54G and the other is BEFW11S4. i was told that the second router could be used as a hub, so that's what im trying to do. if its not possible i will go out and buy a workgroup switch, but that is a last resort. i have 5 pcs, a laptop, and a printserver and i already have one workgroup switch. the second router is upstairs by my main pc because im trying to split my internet connection that comes up here so i can play xbox live.... thanks for any help

buying a router to act as a hub is overkill.....try running with one router and a wireless network bridge on the Xbox if it works then throw the second router back where it came from!!

one router should be able to handle the load from a few PC's.....splitting a connection in two is not easy as I have been lead to believe as the connection will put bandwidth where is needed unless you have some dedicated hardware to throttle and separate the connection.

Back to the hub thing....I presume you want a wired hub...and I believe that the linksys firmware will allow you to set a default gateway to the other router....some manual reading required as I am not too familiar with that particular router

In theory it should be easy enough to use the second router as a hub as long as you turn off its DHCP and get it to use the other one as the gateway but as I said I am not too familiar with those routers so I can't really go into specifics!
