Working out in payless sneakers...

So it's time for new sneakers (just for going to the gym) and I can't afford a $70 pair of New Balances... Would working out in payless sneakers really destroy my feet? I never wear sneakers so it would only be used for about an hour a day.

Thanks!

Why not go to a shoe store and find a decent pair on clearance? The shoes from payless are literally one-time use only. 😛

good point, i'm heading to marshalls to see if I can get something decent.

Yeah, hit marshall's, tj maxx, ross or clearance elsewhere. I personally like checking out the Fred Meyer near me. So many people have no idea that there is a shoe department tucked away. They regularly have great clearance deals.

Oh man, I love Ross' store, too bad the closest location to me is in PA. 🙁

Whenever I feel like taking a 3hour drive, I totally raid the place. 😛

i just got a new pair of ASICs (last years model) just for working out. good stuff. why dont you use your payless sneakers and get new ones when they wear out?

You can't ask these youngsters. If it is on A&F you are not hip. I would have and do buy what fits and looks decent. THey will hold up longer than you think, but $22 for NB is a nice deal>

arghhh...im not sure, im not familiar w/ any of the shoes in the 4xx range.... so i can't be sure which shoe it is... HOWEVER, be careful, cuz you wanna make sure that the shoe isn't a "walking" shoe, which im suspicious it may be....ALSO, you might as well wear them around in the house tonite to break em in for when you are working out..YOUR FEET WILL PROB BE SORE WHEN U WORK OUT IF U DON"T BREAK EM IN TONITE

...also, what are you guna do at the gym. run, walk, weightlift?? that can have an impact on the type of shoe you should gett..t.t..

nto all new balance shoes are created equally....NOT EVEN CLOSE

.there is a lot more to pickin a shoe than what looks cool and is cheap...

I get all my shoes at Kohls. They are on sale every other week. I always get Reebok and never pay more than $35 or so.

The only thing I wear my Target shoes for is cutting the lawn.

Will be checking by Kohls. 🙂

Kohl's always has good prices on shoes. You can get Nike, Rebox, and NB for $25-$35 there from time to time.
