Working out, got down to 161, started taking creatine and now about 170

Hi Guys,

I've been working out steadily for the past two months. I slowly dropped from about 170 to 160. Just over a week ago I started adding creatine to my diet and trying to drink more water. Now I'm back up to around 170, yet I still look like I've lost the bad weight (im more toned than I was when I was 170 at the start).

I figured it's the creatine holding water weight?

Yes, it's water weight. I just got back on creatine myself... was 165, am now 170. The actual weight doesn't bother me because bodyfat % is what I'm working on lowering. I know, once I've reached my goal and stop taking creatine, I'll have the bf% I want and my weight will drop another 5-10lbs. Ideally I'd like to be around 155 @ 8%.

Yep, definitely sounds like the creatine. I took the stuff for about a month way back when I first started working out. Went from 150 to 162 in the span of two weeks. Then my weight dropped to about 155 once I was off of it. All in all, I was happy with a five-pound gain during my first month.

Creatine will add 2-2.5kg to me in water weight.
