Fremont is full of Indian people and is just as expensive as SJ. Morgan Hill is a bit cheaper while still being nice though commuting to the peninsula can be tough with the traffic. The south part of evergreen in SJ is safe and has great schools, but is pretty stereotypically asian suburbia.
48 an hour, and 1br won't work with 2 kids and a wife. 30-45min commute is fine by me
It depends on my wife. We would probably rent for atleast a year and then see how we fill and then either transfer to the pacific northwest or stay there.
Dear god do not live in Dublin/Pleasanton and try to commute to San Jose! You will want to kill yourself trying to make the drive on I-680 up and down the Sunol Grade, especially on Fridays.

Sometimes I head out to my dad's place in Manteca coming from the South Bay on Fridays. I want to kill myself everytime I have to go up 680. I almost think it'd be quicker to head south to the 152 and then up 5.
I agree. No way would I want to make that trip every day.
jesus that is confusing, CA state Legislature needs to get their shit together, or do a flat tax
