Particularly picking at the clearance items before they hit the floor. As a scavanger of possible money makers, I picked up a couple packs of these idiotic trading card games (Yu-gi-oh today) for $0.10 each. X-Mas shopping is nice too.

I just feel like shouting out "SCORE!"

Of course, I'm nuts anyway. Too bad we don't sell anything computery.
 
I thought a big advantage was scoping all the MILFs holiday shopping.

Nothing like working for $7 an hour and then having to spend $7 for lunch at a stupid overpriced mall restaurant.
 
I have worked in retail for 10 years now....I hate it and love it at the same time.

Long hours and you have to deal with stupid people, but freedom to take off whenever I want, flexible hours, and not having to really do anything are definate plusses

as for discounts: I have gotten some deals that would blow your mind

I used to manage a Gamestop and my employees knew better. There's always work to be done.
 
I loved finding that clearance crap. I still have about 200 boxes of christmas lights I got for a penny (down from $8), 5 doggy doors that I got for a penny (down from $50), and about 100 bottles of purple pvc primer I got for a penny (down from $2)
 
Those perks just seem to not apply to me. My employee discount is worthless and there are few times where there are good clearance items.

I guess that telephone line AV home network for 6 bucks was great but MILFs... bleh... I need younger and azn. I worked 14 hrs this past Sat and 11 for the rest of the week. I purposely "forgot" to tell my manager that I have a dental appt tomorrow at 11:30... he should get his lazy @$$ to work and stop "helping" me by whining about numbers.
