Workaround

Hope this is helpful...

"Just discovered a way around this for you guys who have been stuck having to pay shipping out of your own pocket and having to wait weeks on end for fees.

I posted a couple of items this weekend of which both sets of funds were put on hold. I over charged on shipping as I usually do, with the promise of refunding the amount extra over what it costs me. When refunding the ($4 and $9) I noticed that straight after these partial refunds the funds became available to me. And there you go, a way to beat the totally illegal system paypal have been operating!! Simply refund a small amount like 10 cents and you will have your funds in your account immediatley"

Paypal operates like a bank would but isn't regulated like one. It's baffling.

I avoid them like the plague. I won't use them, and any merchant that is limited to Paypal only isn't getting my business.

To each his own. I wont buy from someone who doesn't use them. They are a great convenience.

Same here. But that being said, I never leave money in my PayPal account. I transfer enough in to make a purchase and draw it out as soon as I get it. (I haven't had any funds held yet)

Any online payment system is going to attract fraudsters, and the more fraud you have the more idiot regulations these companies have to put in place to cover their asses.

what you are left with is the twisted cesspool that is paypal.

Waits for op's paypal account to get banned. 😉

I just posted this, thinking that it would help someone on board.
I personally never had any problems.. yet..

Even if it does work, it'll stop working as soon as people start abusing it. Guy would have been better off keeping his trick to himself.
