If one of my coworkers brought their dog to work I'd bring my cat in the next day. Y'know, just to put it in perspective.

I'm surprised the boss isn't a little irritated at the dog. High-pitched yelping isn't good for your ears.

Actually, high-pitched yelping isn't good for the rat...err..."dog" if it happens to be near me...

where do you work?

In an office building with about 300 other people. For some reason I've never felt right about saying specifically where I work. 😛

Youre a meat packer, aren't you!

Around here there are lots of places that let people take their dogs to work. It makes for a relaxed HAPPY work place. For awhile my dogs wasn't allowed to go to work with me (long story) the customers missed him greatly! Brutus is the best meeter and greeter you could ask for, people walk in and they immediately feel welcome! 😉
Nice dog, but I still don't know what your work situation/location is like. I work in a high-rise office building, for example...

Heh, one of our HR people actually did that. You'd think she would be up on our policy (which restricts ANY sort of animals on the premises b/c we have labs in the building), but then reading policies takes away from precious gossip time.

I work in an office building like that as well. It's really not that big of a deal. I guess I should replace my OP with 'Why would you bring a loud, obnoxious, barking dog to work' since I don't really mind them bringing their dog in general.

Yous should steal it and put it in the a/c ducts then you office will have this sort of feral office dog that can live off coffee and cigarette butts.
