qft.

Just tell them to fvck off and get a new job. Unless you're getting paid $60/hr to do nothing, it's not worth the hassle.

Are you trying to get this thread locked? If so, you may be doing a good job

No in fact, evidently they dont think i am good enough to give me anything above a $0.20 raise out of a possible $1. Although i am not supposed to know, most people get around 3x that raise.

And just to make this clear right now, i am not in any way going to curse them out or be outright rude unless they start shouting at me first. Even then ill ask them, why they are doing that.

Is my best bet going and talking to the GM tomorrow and asking what in the hell is going on, or should i just turn in my two weeks and explain it all in that lovely little letter. (Not sure how i am going to afford Christmas presents, gas, and my cell phone bill with no job though)

She is a very respected Assistant manager, as for the Personnel Manager well EVERYONE has had problems with her. But she still is not on the verge of being fired for some reason.

what are you? pussy? just quit already.

If you think you are being funny, your not. Lemme ask you, if this happened at your job, would you simply walk in there, say "F You i quit" and walk out? I thought not.

Do you work in retail? Unless you're in some kind of highly specialized field you can find another job somewhere else. And YES, if this happened to me I would quit.

Yes this is retail, but it is also my first job. Not only that, (not saying you didn't) but if you read the entire thread, you would see that i really cant be outright mean to someone. I wish i could, but its just a stupid thing with me. I hate having people pissed off at me.

Additionally, simply walking out isn't a good idea for 2 reasons that i see:
A. I would lose ~30 hours of payed vacation time
B. Simply quitting doesn't look good. My parents said that you always, if at all possible (which i suppose it is) leave on good terms. If you dont it can/will come back and haunt you on later jobs. If you are suggesting putting in my 2 weeks, as i said earlier there are a few things that prevent that; but dont think im not considering that, because i am.

first of all, my bosses(two jobs) don't treat me like sh!t(you). for any unsatisfication at work, I tell my boss about it or at least let them know. btw, I like where I work.

I used to work in burger's king and the condition was bad. I hated the job with passion. there is this manager that didn't like me and I knew it. I usually work closing. so one day, I got fed up with her unfairness, I quitted when the store is the busiest(because my coworker being a jerk and manager didn't side with me). I didn't say F You, but I was sure the store was F UP after I left that day.

never looked back and never would I take the sh!t like this. I was 17 too.

look at how pissy you are right now. do you think ~30 hours of paid vacation time compensate you for that? if so, STFU and STOP WHINING. there is no point in this thread anymore.

I'm not seeing the big deal

As far as ATOT work stories go, this is pretty tame
You expect the manager to be a mind reader? You descrive yourself as a pushover, and seem surprised when managers push you over into slots I assume you hem and haw about like Milton.

"Do you want me to stick around while you check, in case you need me" while "I was so pissed off at that moment that i was ready to chew the next person out who talked to me." ......... ???

So you were asked about your timesheet that wasn't signed/filed with her - and she asks if you filled them out right there. Think she ever had a 17 y/o worker give a lil white fib on extending hours? According to how you wrote the post, it doesn't seem like she went ape on you. She seems to go verify what you said, but the update stops there....

Any idea whether gonna choose to either live with it or find a new job?

I have the common sense and the dignity, unlike a few people in this thread, to not lose my temper. I can be mad and control my anger.

Think she ever had a 17 y/o worker give a lil white fib on extending hours

Maybe she had. Even so, i have NEVER EVER given anyone at that store a reason to not trust me.

If you dont have anything helpful to add to this thread than get the hell out. In case you didn't notice, i am having a rough time at work, so either cut the bullshit and smarta$$ remarks or dont post.

What happened to the people who have so much respect at the beginning of the thread? The people who actually care?

Do you want the whole post in the OP. I thought most of you would prefer cliff notes.

Ill edit and put the whole thing though.

Yet again my Personnel Manager screws up.

This is ridiculous.

Tomorrow i go in to talk to my GM unless he does something the next day i am in there i am turning in my two weeks. I cant stand this anymore, if it weren't for my direct coworkers, i would already be gone.

Ill let you guys know how it goes.
