Work/molester van

I want to get a beater van for hauling some business stuff, and friends! I would prefer awd or 4x4 since it needs to be good in the snow. Any makes, models, years that are better than others?

If you can find a GM/Chevy Van with a 350, you're pretty much golden. Those things are rock-solid, and cheap/fairly easy to work on/get parts for.

Ford aerostar with the electronic four wheel drive. The 2WD are boats in the snow but the AWD ones do really well and the 4.0L motor goes forever. Body/frame tends to rust tho so make sure to check that part out.

were those ford products? i thought it was a shop slapping van bodies on F series.

Ford Econolines use the same parts bin as the F series. Therefore, most large dealerships will put on a 4x4 system if you pay for the parts and installation.

The dealership doesn't do it, they order the van through Ford Fleet Truck sales.
