Night shift. 12 midnight - 9am. Loved it. Traffic is minimal, and the stores are open in the morning, with very few customers.

While I'd love to say I'd prefer 9-6 so I could workout in the morning, I currently do the 9-6 and can't bring myself to get up any earlier than about 8. I think 7-4 or even 6-3 would work better for me, as it would force me to get up earlier, thus I could workout after work with sacrificing either sleep or time at home. But my current job doesn't really offer me that option.

9am to 4pm , lunch in the drive thru while delivering stuff

best hours ever......only except for not getting 40 a week it is good.
35 hours a week is good enough for me though

I get to come in at 7:15 and get off at 4:00pm.
Of course that goes all the way up to 9:30 on and 6:15 off. so I come and go when its best. I choose to come in early so I get off sooner and there are not as many people on the train and traffic is less.

I used to do the 10-7, those were pretty nice hours. The phone calls to deal with stuff in morning was much easier. I do the 9-6 now. Not too bad all thing considered. Not much traffic, but the hour drive back and forth sucks.

I think it is just ones personal preferences.
I would rather get in early as possible and leave as early as possible. others like to sleep in. it just depends.

Of those 2 I'd have to go with 8 to 5.
But if I could, I'd like to work 4ea. 10 hour days a week. Like 6:00pm to 4:00pm and off on Fridays.
😀

6am - 2 pm is the best, if I ever have the chance to do it again I'd grab the opportunity in a heartbeat.

That being said, I just changed from 5 days/week to 4 days/week. It is great, now I feel well rested, and if I pick up and added 4 hrs on top of a regualr shift each week - my pay is almost the same. If they only offered 3 - twelve hour shifts...

I'd go with 8-5 personally. the earlier I leave work the better.

also, do they let you not take an hour lunch and instead leave earlier? if that is the case, I'd do the 9-6 and then not take a lunch (just eat food I bring at my desk) most of the days.

7-4 or 9-6

Avoid the normal driving headaches and allow for an hour either before or after work to visit businesses/offices that open at 8 and close at 5...

I do 4x10 = 40, every Friday off.

no paid lunch

but i do 40 hours averaged every week,
every other friday off... very nice for doing chores, relaxing, etc

For those of you that don't get a paid lunch, is that because you take an hour lunch or is it mandatory break? Could you cut that short if you ate at your desk?

I usually do 4pm-12:30am. It sucks having to go after classes, pretty much feels like you never leave.

the earlier the better imo, but then i'm a morning person. or is it just school? anyway, i usually wakeup at 6:30 at the very latest even during the summer. i'd prefer 7-4 but in your case, 9-6 might be better cause then you avoid the morning rush hour.
