Dam 22 years of age, one more year to graduate from engineering, interning during the summer with pretty much the biggest company in the world, and I hate this. I hate being a damn trained computer monkey. I really hate this job no challenge just monotony. Everyday hating having to wake up and drag my ass to work.

Discuss amongs yourselves.

Depends how you look at it, work/life, etc...

I work so i can live. I do not live so i can work.

Do your work well. Enjoy it, but the minute you walk out of the office forget everything about it and enjoy your life.

Yep, that sounds about right. Work sucks, almost everyone hates doing it. Still, if you don't go to work, you're going to end up starving to death on the street (which actually doesn't seem that bad sometimes...). So just be a sheep and do what they tell you, but once you get out of there every day, live your life, and do what makes you happy.

Sounds like you chose the wrong career path.

Me too. While not every day sees me turning cartwheels in the office I do enjoy software development and creating products out of nothing that are used by tens of thousands of people. (And actually the software from my old employer has been used by over a million by now.)

It sounds like DAM should be looking for something more fulfilling as soon as finances allow.

Tough. You've grown up during one of the easiest periods of time in U.S. history. You're getting a college education and you have a job. You could have grown up during an extended recession/depression when most people were just trying to survive, or you could have been of age during war time and the draft would have slapped a uniform on your whining ass, handed you a gun and dropped you off in Hell.

Grow up, if you can.

Well, it's all relative. I thought the job I was doing last week sucked like hell, but the job I'm doing this week is 10x worse. Ah well..
