work dilemma: not on best terms with my boss

I realize my mistake and I could try to mend the relationship back, but it seems like an uphill battle.

I can jump to another project right now without getting laid off and start over but I might be burning some bridges here. There's a lot of demand for resources so I think I can find another project easily. People have been advising me that stability is most important right now but I'm ready to go

My boss can be an ass sometimes but I definitely hate some of the people I work with. But the money is good and I enjoy the work I do.
