Man, so true. I sold a laptop to a friend for $750. He paid me $400 up front, and it was over a year later before I finally pestered the remaining $350 out of him. That really taught me my lesson.

If you sell something to a friend or relative, be prepared for it to be an interest free loan for however long they take to pay you back.
