Words With Friends crashes nonstop on my iPhone

I have deleted and reinstalled this app so many times I lost count. I even erased my entire phone and started from scratch and it still does it after restoring with WWF not on there and then downloading it again.

Does anyone have any ideas on wtf is going on?

It says this:

Updating... This may take a few minutes.

and then it crashes back to home.

What iPhone do you have? Also, do any other apps crash? It sounds like you already attempted doing a clean install (did you recover from the backup after the clean install of the OS?). Also, are you just syncing the app from the computer or downloading it via the app store?

Just trying to get an idea so I can try to help you.

4S 64 GB
Hanging With Friends started doing it but it actually fixed itself.
I deleted WWF, backed up the phone, erased it and used my backup to put everything on, then downloaded WWF and got the same issue.

What good is a restore if you restore it to a backup, which makes it identical before you restored?

Just wondering.

It has been "updating" everytime I've opened it the last couple days. I think they are having some type of server problem.

I wondered the same thing so I erased everything again and installed before anything was on the phone and still got the same issue.

It did some file update two days ago to fix a problem when I launched it even though it had worked fine for me.
