I can't understand how the word "like" became the replacement verb for a whole host of words..........

Another phrase that is used constantly, sometimes many times in one sentence is "You know" or "You know what I mean...."

Honestly, if I already knew, I wouldn't be listening to you speak, and if I don't understand what you're trying to say, I'll ask. You don't have to repeatedly ask "you know" every third word.

aiight sounds kind of like 'ite' with just a little a before it. You would probably have to hear it to get it right though.

Like ah-ite?
what is it, like some new armor in runescape? I thought I had most of the last 30 years covered, but people are bringing up some word I've never heard of.

I feel left out and old 🙁

think alright without the "a" and the "l" than add another "i' to make the "i" long

aiight

For whatever reason, I use 'Bogart' and 'action' a lot.

"Dude, you like totally Bogarted the nachos!"

"You want in on this beer action, bro?"

i still say "dude" (i'm 36)

I still say "dude" (35 yo) and I just can't kick the habit of saying "cool" when I'm in agreement with somebody/something.

dude, cool, oh sh-it, word, peace (as opposed to goodbye)

i'm pretty good at not using them in a professional atmosphere tho.

i also have eliminated like, and aight

I say "buddy" a lot, lately. Got it from my brother...hard habbit to break, now.

Other than that; I think my spoken English isn't that bad.
