This happened to me once on a bottle of wine.

I pushed the cork through and held a pen in the hole so the cork wouldn't block the floooowwww.

What the hell whiskey is that? Popular down in Australia, I imagine? It makes sense, upon reflection, that Australia would have their own style of whiskey, but I never seen or heard of it before.

I haven't tried it yet 🙁

Reviews are a mixed bag online, but I figured it was worth a try.

Got a replacement bottle no worries 🙂

It isn't bad, a bit light-on, but peaty and agreeable nonetheless.

A good outcome for a horrible situation. Thanks for the update.

Topic Title: Words cannot express how I feel...
Topic Summary: Is there anything more soul destroying than a broken cork in a bottle of whisky?

Definitely. When you are broke, and you buy a precious bottle of booze with your last money...then slip on ice outside store and drop the bottle, and it breaks 🙁 :brokenheart:So please don't whine about insignificant/snob detail with the cork.

Sounds good then. Out of curiousity is Scoth Whiskey priced high in Australia? Wondering about the cost of transportation of it.
