Good morning,

I have a document written in Word XP. Pretty basic, but on 2 user's machines it is rendering incorrectly. For example,

NAME: __________________

would come up as

NAME: _______________
____

this only happens on 2 user's machines, everyone else's including mine it renders correctly. I am stumped as where to even start. I don't think it is the margins, b/c they looked identical to mine...

Thoughts ?

This might sound really crazy, but how are they viewing the document?

Word documents I get in emails are in this ridiculous reading view (which doesn't do anything to help you read, but does quite a number on how the formatting looks) which is easy enough to correct. Usually if the file is open in "reading view mode" there is a button that says close somewhere on the toolbars.

If that doesn't appear, try using view Print Layout.

Yes, I absolutely loathe that "feature."

It could also be a printer setting. If you have set up margins that their printer can't handle it may automatically adjust them and affect your layout.

That is why I like to use PDF for forums and such. Then I know what it is going to look like on another users computer.
