<< FPSGuy- are you affiliated with EastOutlet? >>

Nope. Just trying to pass on a good deal. I think they have great prices on Symantec software and a few other things. I wanted to upgrade my Word and couldn't resist at this price. I have been very happy with everything I have ordered from them so far. I do like the store but I am not affiliated with them in any way and get nothing out of this other than the satisfaction of getting the deal myself and knowing that some fellow AT'ers may get in on the deal too.

Thanks FPSguy.

Not so quick my friend. How does $18.99 (using the absolute cheapest method of USPS) to ship to CA sound? Sounds like a ripoff to me. Even at the inflated new USPS prices, it would be less than $4.50 for Priority w/Delivery Confirmation. Now, I'm all for folks making a reasonable profit but 75% (close enough) for profit on shipping alone is a bit much. I'm sorry if this is a bit of a thread crap but to me it's just fair warning for the uninitiated. Pass on this one folks, but thanks for the (almost) deal.

I can recommend them also! I bought Nortons Antivirus 2002 a few weeks ago and nobody could beat the price, also very fast shipping.

Well aware of the other "options" for shipping. However, try this little experiment; Select anything OTHER than the $18.99 shipping rate and then fill in the information for the purchase. Then click to the next page and see what you cost is for shipping. Suprise!! $18.99 again! I didn't take it any further but I did this three times with the same result. Snafu? Maybe. But I will not give them the benifit of the doubt with my money.
A good compromise though might be to call in your order. At least in that way you might be able to confirm the correct shipping amount, which would make this indeed, a good deal. Ok for you?

maybe anyone how is having a shipping problem should call in their orders. I entered all my info and shipping stayed at $4.75 for me. In so cal myself. I was considering getting it but I think i will just buy the office set for students and teachers when i get back to school, $70 or so more but I actually use excel occasionaly and power point on a blue moon.

I don't live in CA so I have always gotten free shipping from them. Their site says free USPS shipping so maybe if you call them they won't charge for shipping. Another option would be to go to pricewatch and search for Word 2002. There is a company that has a cheaper price but their shipping is more than EastOutlet. Maybe in CA their shipping would be cheaper than EastOutlet, though.
