word 2000 loads as a 90 mb file

Hello
We had a system that had a sircom virus, after removing the virus we reinstalled windows 2000(without reformatting)
Everything works fine, there are no more viruses.
The problem is that the MS word loads as a 90 mb file and it takes forever to load and exit.
I have tried to remove, and reinstall office and even installed word by itself, but with no luck.
I also removed office and all registry entries associated with office or word but once I reinstall word or office it has the same problem.

Other office applications work fine are load with regular size.

Any ideas?

I would save all your data , reformat and start from scratch , as it sounds like you have done everything possible to resolve this.

It's times like these when you'd wish you'd took the time to back up your system , my personal preference is for Norton Ghost which has saved my bacon on many occasions .
