crap, missed the dlp projector...its an InFocus IN72; at projectorreviews.com (seriously), they reviewed it late last May:

for the price then, $1300, it was considered to be a pretty good deal; best in its class, even though its competitors were mainly in the $900~$1100 range, but the extra cash was apparently worth it to the reviewers. So, it seems that the price on woot was a hell of a steal if you were able to get one...alas, I missed, :'(
 
lame as hell! the BOC just came by for a second, hit order, typed in verification code, and then it says it's sold out! damnit!
