Personally I think it's all a load of bullshit because Christmas is the traditional name, and if you get offended by the name of a holiday which most celebrate as a feel-good event, you have worse problems...

pretty sweet man! I wish I got that off...I am already taking off December 25th to Jan 8th, so that'd be perfect for me 😛.
 
I 'celebrate' Christmas, and I don't even believe in it. While gift giving/receiving is great, for me, especially now that I'm away for school, it's a time of family togetherness. As a kid it was all about the presents, and its interesting how you change some as you mature. 😉 Especially look forward to seeing my sister, she should be coming back home for that time - she lives in Texas now with her husband.
This year is gonna be great too because my buddy should get leave from Afghanistan around that time, and his 21st birthday is a week before Christmas. 🙂

I get this time off for shutdown as well. Been getting this for 5 years now, although this year is a bit longer (because of how the holidays land) 🙂
