Just a few tips for getting a BoC, most here probably already know these and more.

When the Wootoff starts log out if you're already logged into woot and log in again. The first time I tried to get a BoC I hit the order button and it said I wasn't logged in, even though it had been showing I was logged in.

Keep your credit card on file with woot, and either memorize your security code or write it down where you can see it.

When the BoC finally appears click on the order button and wait. I saw a lot of posts in the blog by people saying they kept clicking the order button and the page wouldn't load. Every time you click on the order button you're putting yourself that much further behind everyone else trying to get a BoC.

When it finally pops up remember you need to click on the I want 3 button, and when that loads you need to enter in your security code for your CC. Everything else should already be on file with Woot, if it isn't you're probably not going to get a BoC.

Yes im lazy.

You sure are ... its a tricky one: www.woot.com 😉

And I just grabbed a Belkin Pre-N wireless notebook card for $24 ... not the best price I've seen but they're tough to find these days & I have the matching router

you should check to see if you can still get money back from belkin for those (class action settlement). there's a thread here somewhere.

Actually I already did ... applied for it way back in April of '07 & finally received the paperwork last friday but thanks! 🙂

My original Belkin wireless router was called the 125HSM (the one I'm hoping to be refunded for) which was similar to Linksys Speedboost-G model & it worked great for a long time but died in a failed firmware update ... Belkin replaced it with the Pre-N model under their lifetime warranty.

What's so special about BoC?

Most BOCs are just random stuff, but Woot has sent out other nice items like a Wii or a HDTV, so a dollar plus five bucks shipping isn't bad for a chance at something good.

I successfully got to the order page of the BoC and clicked "This info is correct", but then the it died on me and said "Service Unavailable." Oh well, at least I forgot to click three woots.

Even if you don't get anything good it's just fun to get a package and not know what's in it. My first BoC was pretty much just junk, but was still fun to go through. My second BoC had a little plastic doll, a pair of X-ray glasses, nice leather camera bag, a flying Woot Monkey, and a clock radio that cost more than $50 (cheapest I could find it on Froogle).

sounds exactly like my last BOC I got around Christmas. Plastic doll, mgm grand toy, leather camera bag (use it for my DS), flying woot monkey, and the Teac clock radio. BOC Pic

My BOC before that was pure trash.

Other than the MGM toy it looks like we did get the same package. Maybe the BoC aren't so random and they have set packages, with some small junk just they just throw in for the heck of it.
