Customers will be able to start using plastic sometime next year, according to the paper. They will not be required to sign for the purchase, just like many gas stations which now allow credit and debit purchases without a signature. The paper said the relative low cost of a McDonald's meal makes the risk of stolen cards somewhat unlikely, that those using stolen cards are more likely to go to electronics stores and other higher-end retailers.

Seems like since fast food places are switching over to cc's, there's no need to carry cash anymore. Is there any businesses that doesn't accept credit cards still?
