Yeah, I probably overpaid a bit but I wanted to make sure I get one before they are all gone. I bought the mobo and memory about 1 1/2 months ago and have been waiting patiently for the new FSB chips.

Price keeps fluctuating on Newegg with these chips. Was 350 then 315 (which is what I got mine at) and now its 325. :Q

Dunno WTF is going on, but I better get my CPU in the next coupla days. Methinks Newegg is either getting wrong pricing info or are raping us for more $$$.
 
I went ahead and got the E6750 for $210 with free shipping. It was about ~$205 at mwave, shipping included, which was the cheapest e-retailer atm. I paid the extra 5 bucks just because I like newegg. Plus I never ordered from mwave before, so I don't know anything about their shipping or service.

I hope I made the right choice going with the E6850 over the E6750. 100 buck price dif. I hope I can OC the hell out of it. I wont feel too bad as I paid 300 for my s939 A64 X2 3800 about a year ago.
 
Mwave just listed the Q6600 back in stock so I just grabbed one. Hopefully it'll be a GO.
If not, I'll wait for my pre-order at TG to come through!

i know its not a company many have heard it from but hey if all e6850 is G0 then i dont have much to worry about

Sweet. I have the same P35 mobo you have. I can't wait to put this baby together with my PC8500 ram. This thing is gonna be sweet! Now, I need for a good DX10 card to come out. My X1950XTX is gonna have to stay with me for a little while yet. 🙂
 
my guess is that most Q6600's being sold today/tomorrow/this week, even next week will most likely be B3's and not G0's.

i hope i'm wrong. it'd be sweet if mwave was selling G0's but i have a feeling they are not. i guess all those that bit on the $273 deal should report what they get. mwave still shows SL9xx in their product page which is B3. if it gets updated to SLACx then it's a G0.
 
Crazy pricing on the E6850:

MWave has it for $280....Now Out of Stock

I bought one from Newegg yesterday for $315......OUCH!

Now Newegg is showing them at $345.....OUCH!....OUCH!

Apparently someone at the Egg cracked opened up an Economics book overnight.
 
Not only supply and demand but if they have previous inventory at a higher cost they have to apply a generally used accounting procedure called a "moving average cost" and base their price on that. This strikes a balance between their high old inventory costs vs their cheper new inventory.
