The coffee vending machine at my job occasionally rewards people with a free cup,lol,it's weird hearing the coffee machine beeping and the led screen flashing "winner,winner" as your coins come back
I scraped my arm pretty badly one time trying to reach in for a candy bar that didn't fall down all the way to the bottom.
A guy from Oklahoma that I knew in the Army got discharged honorably with 20% disability payment for life due to a duty related injury, which may or may not have actually been caused by him getting into a fight with a large coke machine whilst drunk.
I got paid to drink coffee once.
It was one of those surveys at a shopping mall. They brought me in an office and had me try several types of coffee and give my impressions. They all tasted like poo, sawdust, or a sawdust-poo blend. It would have been better if they let me use cream and/or sugar. Anyway they gave me $2 for my 10 minutes of trouble.

in HS we had a bag of chips get stuck in one at a hotel we were at. we were pissed so we put in a bunch of pennies and jammed all teh buttons in. to our supprise ALL of the things started turning and didnt stop. for something like $0.67 we got an entire machine full of food

a friend of mine freshman year at college had only like 8 cents on his School ID card (which we can use to get stuff at vending machines) and 2 machines on campus would get tricked by it thinking there was money on the card and you can buy stuff on it. So every break he'd by the whole class ic cream and food haha.

jammed the buttons in? as in, broke them?
My best vending machine story was at a post office, I think the machine was messed up, I put in a dollar bill for a few stamps, I got the stamps, but the machine also split out a few susan b anthony dollar coins too.

Bum a quarter off my cousin to make a phone call at a payphone, dial the number, it says I gotta dial a 1 first, I hang up, the change drops, I pulled out about $1.50 in change. Put the $0.50 in to make the call, finish making it, hang up, I hear change drop again. I pull out about $0.75. I made quite a bit of money on that phone call.
My friend in high school used to be able to snake his arm up into the vending machines to snag treats, so we put his talents to use posting obscene printouts of large ladies on the inside of the glass.

Haha, funny you should say this. Me, and my friends Collin and Patrick used to empty the 20oz. bottle machine doing that. I only would grab one a day like an intelligent person (to keep the supply coming), but they looted it and sold the surplus for profit. It still took them like 5 months for them to upgrade the damn machines. Good thing for that red tape.
I once lost $2 to a vending machine near wall mart.. so i walked in and took a drink out of there refrigerated ones near a check out counter... hilarity ensued.
