We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. We’ll post an update once the fix has been deployed. Thanks for your patience while we get this sorted.

I applied to San Jose just in case my UC App burned up or something and i didnt get in anywhere or if there was a reason that I was forced to live at home (sunnyvale).
But yea i guess im really leaning twords davis since its not too far from the bay area, my parents want me to go there, and the people who i hang out with regularly all got in and plan to go there...

Aren't all these different UC universities the same except they are located in different areas? Or do they each teach something else?
What I mean is, academically how is Univeristy of California: San Diego campus different from another one? They are still the same university.

They seem to be similarly sturcted, some better at some things than others. UC Riverside and UC Santa Cruz are Research I campuses and the other UC's are Reasearch II campuses. Basically all UC's do research, not just provide education.
From what I hear:
UC Berkeley is good for engineering
UCLA is good for having the world revolve around you
UC Santa Cruz is the last ditch effort school
UC Riverside is the other last ditch effort school
UC Davis got quite a great Vet program I hear
UC Irvine, beats me what they do there
UC San Francisco = grad med school, I hear its good.
UC Santa Barbara = someone tell me... besides parties on the beach.
for one, UCI is the first in the UC system to have an actual school of ICS (Information & Computer Science)... a lot of the other UCs either have computer science as a department under the School of Engineering. All the professors and everybody were making a big deal out of it, probably so they'd get more research funding and what not. So yes, they are different... USNews, rates them all differently, but hey, USNews doesn't mean that much right? 😛 In a nutshell, Berkeley and UCLA are at the top (Berkeley has a lot of out of state students, which means a lot since they'd be paying almost the same amount of tuition as a private school), UCSD/UCSB/UCD/UCI are in the middle, and UCR/UCSC are generally at the bottom. This isn't meant to offend people... I went to four out of the 8 UC's- started out at UCR, took some summer classes and inter-campus visitor quarters at UCI, transferred to UCSC, and took some summer classes at UCLA. From what I found, the material is all the same, and there will always be the smart guys that score perfects on everything, and there will always be slackers as well. All the material is basically the same, it's just the "prestige" thing, if that makes sense. btw, the UC system also has two additional graduate schools, UC Hastings (law) and UCSF (med/pharm).
UCI = good for computer science
UCSB is getting there when it comes to engineering
UCR = shithole I hated it there 😛
UCSC = ABET accredited computer engineering program, just over the hill from Silicon Valley, and you practically go to school in the forest (redwood trees everywhere)
UCSD = good for EE (comm especially) and bioengineering, I think
UCD = the flattest place I've ever been to in my life. It's so flat, you can practically from one side of the city to the other... j/k but it's pretty flat, everybody rides bicycles around there.
