That's throwing way too much light to the left and not nearly enough to the right. Are you sure that you didn't accidentally buy housings for an RHD car?

If you have the projectors for a LHD car, then you really need to adjust them so the headlights aren't pushing that much light into oncoming traffic.

ZV

i cant remember whether that was before the adjustment or not, but i can assure you that in driving, the cutoff for the left side is correct.

the picture is a bit deceiving, though i dont know why

With non oem bulbs and 55watt ballasts im sure he will.

i've been using 55w ballasts in Halogen projectors for over a year without any problems, housing is still in perfect condition inside and out (recently inspected) and HID's are still going strong.

How do you like the DDMs? Or anyone else have experience with their products? I've been thinking of adding the kit to my mom's Mazda 3. Already has projectors, and it seems fairly easy to install from what I've read.

My xenon projectors are phenomenal...glad they came stock in my B7 A4.

Yours look nice, doesn't look ricey/bad at all...too bad it's a passat, he he he.

I don't have any proof, but any car I've driven with factory xenon projectors have been phenomenal. Most of our company cars are expensive German sedans/suv's and they all have xenon's...I've always felt like I could see wonderfully with these projectors... especially when compared to my truck (2005 Tacoma) or previous vehicles I've owned. My wife's new A4 has OEM xenon projectors and the lighting is significantly enhanced over my truck. The A4 lights seem to be even better than the Xenon's in the 2007 Mercedes ML I drive for work on a regular basis.

Don't worry about the ricer action. Your gauge pod took care of that.

to some degree yeah - but it is a functional boost gauge, and is very handy in helping me gauge my throttle position (which in turn, helps me get good fuel economy).

like many other things on the car, it was installed by the previous owner (and done very half-assedly)

edit: cutoff pics to come later. my brother just took my car to go meet some friends.

Not bad at all. You made your already German car even more German. Since you already got the Audi wheels, weld or glue 4 silver circles in the front and your car will be a imitation Audi A6 🙂. You didn't 'rice' your car, you Germified it.

VWvortex is full of retards and idiots, especially the MKiv section, which sucks considering I just bought an '03 Jetta. However, there isa LOT of great info on there as well. You just have to weed out all the stupid stuff.

Seconding ECS tuning though. Very solid business.

ditto, there is an abundace of know -how on the vortex but it equals the abundance of meat whistles too. Lots of name calling and bashing.

I have a Supercharged MK4 Gti vr6 and a b6 A4 1.8t quattro. Love em, nice car btw

mmm that GTI must be awesome. i'm guessing you like what audi's done to the new S4 then? 😀

here are pics of the headlight levels from point blank and 20ft+ (i didn't take exact measurements, just backed the car up. as you can see, the headlight levels are still pretty equal). on the road, the left side cuts off earlier than the right, which is how they're supposed to work - you can see farther ahead in your lane but don't blind other drivers in the lane to your left.

edit: i don't think i was perfectly perpendicular to the garage, fwiw. so that will alter the outcome a bit.

Vertically, it looks good. It does look like it's throwing a lot of light to the left though. They're aimed pretty well down though so that's not going to hurt anybody coming at you. Looks good.
