Get ready for your brain to hurt. I hope you don't have tons of foreign teachers because then it becomes pretty redic. after a while. Good luck though itsa very wide field to say the least.

How much biology knowledge are you talking? A few classes? Several classes? A degree?

The more the better.
You are much more likely to be hired in the medical equipment field if you have even a minor knowledge of biology. The engineers that design things like pacemakers, defibrillators, iv pumps, make serious cash.

An example is I design the touchpad used to enter times on a microwave. Another engineer designs the touchpad used on a iv pump. Both use similar electrical methods, similar circuitry, but the iv pump guy makes twice as much.
