buy a media center pc with tv tuner and use the media center extender (among the stuff listed above)

Well, true. If you don't have a HDTV, you might as well return the 360 and get a Wii and spend the extra money on even more games
GOW, PGR3, Test Drive Unlimited, Dead Rising, Rainbow Six Vegas, Call of Duty 3, (Pre-Order) Lost Planet, Viva Pinata, FEAR, Tomb Raider Legend. Or you could buy the HD-DVD player and a few HD-DVD movies, and cut down the amount of games.

graphics in sd still look better than the Wii, and the fact is, Zelda is still the only game worth buying at the moment.
Grab Gears, Oblivion if you haven't played it yet, and Dead Rising if you've an HDTV. Those are by far the best games and should be played first.
