I hate neighbors like you. Do you have any idea how much noise come out of that thing?

i've seen 5 and 6 year olds on little dirtbikes...but that thing is way to powerfull for my 7yr old...or any 7yr old IMO
she can barely ride her bike without training wheels

I hope you're aware that it can do 35-40mph. Wiping out at those speeds for a 7yr old isn't gonna be pretty.

And you really think she wil be allowed to go that fast?

PEOPLE!!!!! I am not some stupid ass who is going to say "here, go as fast as you can and hit a tree". Come on! Some people (children) in this world can do things of this sort and still be safe. If I did not feel she was mature enough for it I would not have purchased it.

Wow... a lot of people that disagree with the idea of $400 gift for a 7 year old. I don't know about you, but if I can afford it, I'd buy a $400,000 gift for my kid. You get to be a parent once and they get to be a kid once. If you think it will spoil them, then that's because you are not a good parent rather than them getting spoiled by expensive gifts.

 for WA261, make sure you teach her "Safety first" first. :)

Those aren't actually as loud as you'd think...I'd rather have that then some neighbor using a weedwhacker, say.

to the OP: It's very possible for 7-year olds to be mature enough to handle something like that. However, that's a judgement call that only you can make, and I hope you're right.

I wouldn't buy one just because of the flaming douchebag riding it in the pictures on their site.

I read in my local newspaper that these motorbikes are illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to ride and that anyone over the age of 18 needs a current motorcycle licence to drive it. The story was about people using them like bicycles and driving them on the sidewalks to go to the local store, and the police would confinscate them if caught.

Just a heads up.

why is everyone surprised at the price tag? When PS2 and Xbox first came out it was 170+ and fresh games were 30+.

Nice bike, can you fit/ride it when she's not around? :D

Before I looked, I was going to say condom. ;)

I saw someone bring one of those things on the subway yesterday. It was pretty neat. There was an article in the NY Times Sunday section on them a little while ago. Interesting read.

Many/most of these pocketbikes are not DOT approved, and therefore can not be street legal.

BTW - Welcome aboard, Kleaner2!!
