that thing ... bad idea
a bicylce ... good idea

Agreed. Now, I'm not a parent (hell, I don't even LIKE kids) but if I had a little girl, I just couldn't see myself giving it to her, especially at 7. I could see a 15 year old boy, but that's diff...

Hope you have a way to throttle that thing back so it can't go top speed. Geez, I don't think I'd want my 8 year old son riding that thing more than 8-10 mph.

Not a habit I would want to encourage my daughter to take up. Sorry, but I value her life.

I'd probably be too nervous to allow it.

that thing is incredibly awesome, but since it can go up to 40 mph i would definately not agree to giving it to a little girl (or boy for that matter). moto accidents are 30 mph are scary (easily melt the armor in jackets, gloves, boots)...

If she's not strong enough to pick that mini motorcycle up and stand it up from a laying position, she shouldn't be riding it. General rule-of-thumb for any motorcyclist. Besides, she's how old? Does she understand how to shift gears or why she needs to do so? Are you sure she is coordinated enough to run down the hall without slamming into the wall --much less ride a motorcycle that will go THAT FAST? Is she going to redline it then panic and hit the wrong brake and send her to the pavement and the bike in top of her?

Seriously, man... please rethink your decision. This is a very, VERY bad idea. It's a serious accident just BEGGING to happen.

I have seen a yellow in East Los Angeles area retail for about 350, (no helmets no pads though), and I don't know does it have the same specification (ie 49cc displacement)

I know I'm repeating myself, but I agree.

I actually saw one of those on the road last weekend. When I realized that a little person was driving it, I didn't know whether to be amused or think about how great of an idea it was.

Guys..who do you think will be riding it more? Sheesh!!! I will teach her to ride...but me in a campground and in the neighbhood?? wOOt!

She can ride a bike very well. I started on motos when I was her age. Nothing to it if you are safe. I am not sure of the trans yet, but I will like make her stay in 1st untill she masters it, then progress up.

If your neighborhood is anything like mine, everyone will begin to hate you very quickly. Those things are annoying.
