WOOT!! Bob Lutz is your daddy!! Pontiac Solstice spy shots!! :)

DESPITE THIS FULL-COLOR evidence to the contrary, Pontiac officials still say General Motors product planners have yet to give the green light to the Solstice roadster. ?We still don?t have an approved program,? says a spokesperson.
And then:
Nobody is saying it, but considering the road-readiness of the Pontiac sports car shown here, we anticipate GM is gearing up for a production announcement at the Detroit show in January.
They had better be right. Sharp looking car.

Quite possibly one of the most revolutionary cars to come out of a GM plant short of the Z06 in the last 10 years.

Great looking. Great performing. Great pricing. How can they go wrong?

With Lutz at the helm, they CAN'T! 😀

If they build it, I will buy it. A 240 horse 6-speed RWD convertible for $20K is just what the doctor ordered. I even e-mailed GM about it a while back just to say "please build this car"! 😀

Considering that a 285HP 6-speed convertible used to run between $20-25k and it was canceled...

that's almost S2000 like. is it N/A or F/I?

Guess you didn't read the article:

Power for the sports car will likely come from a supercharged 240-hp version of GM?s 2.2-liter Ecotec inline four-cylinder engine.

Which also means that this thing will have some torqe and low-end power unlike the gutless Honda😀

True 🙂 🙂 The question is, if the prices were the same would people really flock to pick the GM over the S2000 (or even the 350)?

I would. I can't stand the S2000 and the 350Z is aight, but this thing is about $10,000 cheaper.
