As soon as the late fee (yet another reason to switch) is removed from my Capital One bill I think a balance transfer is in order.

holy crap, what did you list for income?

0 because I don't have an income...

That's insane

They know exactly what they are doing.

1. You'll either get mommy or daddy to pay the bill
2. you'll get a job to pay for it
3. You'll get out of college and realize that you've screwed your credit up and have to pay it off and wait 7 years for it to drop off.

The amount of interest they get during that time period is worth it to them.

I don't get it. Why be happy about a higher credit limit if your cash is the same? Unless you go into debt it ain't like you can spend anymore anyway...

I didn't really want a limit that high, I just wanted to move away from Capital One. Might even call them to have it lowered.

Use it at grocery stores and drug store too. I use mine at super one foods. Hell, I think you still get 1% back everywhere else too. As long as you pay it off every month, you will be ok.

I never understood why people would sit around and use a CC all the time and be charged anywhere from 5% - 29% (ARP) interest. You're basically just throwing money way.

I never pay interest. They'll be giving me money back for the money I spend. If you don't carry a balance it's a win win situation.

Sorry I didn't mean you specifically. I quoted the wrong person. I meant to quote the person who said they got a 1000 and maxed it out..then got another 1k and maxed that out and is now trying to pay it off.

Agreed, but so many people abuse CC it's not funny.

I have this card and love it too. Not only do I get cash back, I get the convience of not having to carry lots of cash around or to run into the gas stations. I can just pay at the pump. And this I pay it off fully everymonth, I get all this convience for free. (Actually not free, I have earned $50 in rewards in less than 5 months.)

First of all congratulations and welcome to the family :)

From the date of approval it should take about 5-7 calendar days to receive your cc.
