Received my yet another set of memory from this deal. Although I have an extra set of DDR2, the price was just too good to be true for D9GKX sticks. (And for the record, I'd never owned a D9GKX stick) I know D9GKX and D9GMH are same ICs with just different bins - but it's like owning an X6800 vs E6600. I wanted to have them but I just couldn't allow myself to buy D9GKX sticks because of the high price tags. (Big thanks to AT Hot Deal forums and the thread starter, Keitero)
Preliminary test results are just phenomenal. I'm totally blown away by the performance of these sticks.
E6400 @3.20GHz (Sub-timings left auto)
1.80V: 900MHz / 4-4-4-12
2.00V: 1000MHz / 4-4-4-12
2.10V: 800MHz / 3-3-3-8
2.20V: 1100MHz / 4-4-4-12
2.45V: 1200MHz / 4-4-4-12
E6400 @3.60GHz (Sub-timings mannually adjusted)
2.40V: 900MHz / 3-3-3-8 14m 27s Super Pi 32M
2.50V: 1200MHz / 4-4-4-12 14m 13s Super Pi 32M
These Pi results are almost reaching to those of E6600! My other sticks (all D9GMH) can do 1200MHz on this board, but they all require CL5 past 1100MHz. Firestix are the first sticks I've owned that reach such high frequency with such low latency. Paint me impressed!
