Yes many roomates do suck. If an apartment has enough room and roomates listen to each other's requests it is possible to get along.
Personally though I'm MUCH happier living with my wife than I was when living with a roomate.

Hey, it could be worse. My roomy use to listen to the Armagedon soundtrack for days on end. He even took it home with him on the weekends, when his mommy picked him up.

I feel for you though, the same music over and over really starts to piss me off...

...time to kill the person who keeps playing this musac over my cube...

my roomie, when he isn't listing to eminem - with out me or shakira - objection, listins to the MIB and MIB2 sound tracks, along with other various will smith cd's... cool...

Music is almost always going to be a sticking point with roommates. My roommate last year would play the same 5 whiny punk songs over and over, and force everyone in the dorm to listen. That's why I have my own room now

You don't know pain and anger until your roomate watches movies all night while you're trying to fvcking sleep cause you have a huge test in 4 hours and he is watching black hawk down on full volume on his computer so every gunshot and explosion rapes your mind. Come back when someone real happens.
