Heck yea. I got parking at UCLA in lot 4. Not bad for an undergrad. 🙂 (not to brag)

Seriously, UCLA needs to improve its parking allocation system
 
Yea, you have like a 2% chance of getting it unless you have a "reason". Seriously.
 
Reminds me of our school's parking lot... anyway you can get em wedged in there, it's good enough... hell some people park on the lawn areas next to the parking lot... it's funny 🙂
 
Is that good? When I first came to IIT, they couldn't even fill up the lots they have. Now that parking's been halved, it's a little dicier on campus, but with a lot at Comiskey Park and shuttles running, there's no problem of getting a spot. Of course, I've always had a spot behind our Fraternity house...but that's a different story.
 
I didn't get parking either. How many points did you have on your application? I had 26 and still didn't get parking. first time in 4 years that I didn't get parking.

The funny thing is, I'm guaranteed, but I don't even use it. I don't want to spend the money just so I can avoid walking ~1.5 miles from my apartment or, God forbid, taking the bus.

i applied, got denied like hell. i put commuter, have an on campus job, and still no parking. i think you need to kill someone to get parking.
 
parking sucks nuts. When I commuted my first year. I was "living" in Santa Ana, working in El Segundo 20 hours a week and going to school full time. That got me lot 8 Stack parking. I was much happier living in westwood years 2-6 😀
 
This year, incoming freshmen at UC Davis can't park their cars on campus. Plus, closest parking is in the downtown area, a mere 5-10mins walking distance. I bet these will fill up fast. They are 2-hrs "time zones" (lingo for us parking enforcement people). Too bad I don't have that job anymore.

Everyone who wants a permit is allowed to buy one, and spaces aren't allotted specifically to anyone, unless you're the chancellor.
