wooohooo! I was going to spend every spare minute of my time downloading software (open office, tons of freeware apps, shareware, etc.) before we move...

Found the neighbor's phone number... checked - DSL available for him (I can only imagine it's available for us too then)

🙂

I don't know what's left before we close... I think it's just paperwork at this point... Giving them a call tomorrow to see if there's an estimated closing date yet... hopefully by Friday this week.

One of these days, maybe tomorrow, I'll take the camera up there and take pics.

Someone in the area thought cable was available to us... we checked over the weekend... every house before our house has a dish; no sign of cable wires on the poles.

hey... if it wasn't for having DSL available... I was going to be stuck back in the dark ages...

Dial-up..

So, don't DSL  unless you can think of a better solution.

What house and how much land did you end up getting?

3 bedroom ranch (appraiser called it a 4 bedroom... one room is weird, we really didn't know what to call it, except by what it's to become: office.

only 1 full bath, basement is 3 rooms, not finished, but could be finished in the future.
living room, dining room, small kitchen, florida room (sun room or whatever you want to call it) overlooking the back pasture

small to medium sized barn
Another building, soon to become chicken/turkey/pheasant central

16 acres, stream, roughly 3/4 wooded, borders 4000 acres of state forest - cross country ski trails, hiking trails, camping, canoe/kayaking, etc.
