Just got Wild Blue connected yesterday; I'm thrilled with it (at the moment) - my download speeds exceed those advertised. (I'm on their brand spanking new satellite)

Okay, what funny videos have I missed out on during the past 2 years? I'm just now catching up on 2 years worth of email.

A couple things in my email from late 2005 had me rolling on the floor laughing.

 
My GF's parents have WildBlue and it sucks hard. They pay like $60 per month, with like $600 up front for installation and equipment for 512 kbps. ahahahah

I think it was only $200 up front... I get over 1024kbps consistently. Compared to dial-up... it's night and day. The old way: go to these forums, open 15 different threads in different tabs. Load up Titan chess. Play a game on level 5 or 6. Check back to my web browser; nope, still loading. Play another game of chess. Ahhh, finally. Read a couple threads, click a few links to open in new tabs, play another game of chess.
Now: go to forums, open 5 threads in different tabs; look up, 4 of them are loaded. Say to myself, "wow!" The difference in speed is noticeable if I'm downloading anything bigger than 5MB; otherwise, it's great.
 
You haven't missed much. Go check out digg.com and see what people are digging daily. They even have the funny videos there.
