Yes, I know I only got one so far. :(
Going dual would mean a video card upgrade. My 9700Pro has dual outputs but only one is DVI.

I have a 9800pro... I have the main one as dvi, and secondary as analog... works totally fine for me

While we are on the dual monitor topic...
I got my old CRT and was thinking about running a dual setup. If I do, would both monitors have a menu with 'Start' on the bottom or only one of them? I like to have my old CRT on my left side but would hate to have the Start menu only on the old monitor.

you can move the start task bar to whichever monitor you want, but it will only appear on 1 of them, if you want to have a taskbar on teh sencond monitor you will need to use ULTRAMON - a nifty lil program, however it will not contain the strat menu, you can only have 1 start menu

i use it here

So I can have the Start menu on the new LCD and still put my CRT on the left without a start menu and still have the two desktop extended to both monitors?

Howdy.

Just got my 2001FP last week, and I'm thrilled. One caveat, though. The monitor makes noises for a while after I turn it on or off. I realise these are probably just clicks, pops etc. from the internal gadgetry warming up and cooling down, but are they normal? I also realise that the 2001FP, with its 90watt power consumption, probably gets hotter than many other TFTs, but I thought these noises were only common in the world of CRT screens.

any thoughts?

I don't want to replace it it's perfectly normal. Also, if I RMA it I run the risk of getting one with dead pixels (mine has none). Of course, I could just RMA that one as well, but I'm not going through the hassle of multiple returns if I don't have to.

If you wait past the return date.
Next time you RMA, they'll send you a refurb.
