I'm sure I'm part of the vast minority on this one, but I actually like the ad. Well, let me rephrase that, I like a very few segments of it. For example, when he asks "Where you goin', Spiderman?"... That just makes me chuckle.

I think you are looking to deep into things. I don't thing the president of Best Buy got up one moring and thought, "Hmmmm, how can I make fun of those blacks today? Oh yes, a Spiderman comercial."

I actually chuckled the first time I saw it too and thought it was fairly decent. I think a lot of it might just be repitition that's driving most people nuts. It's getting a lot of airplay (most likely because focus group testing showed people responded strongly to it, be it either positive OR negative.)

I agree with you about the commercial...buy ya gotta admit that last part when the fat dood was on the last level with spiderman. He saw the Goblin, looked at Spidey and was like..you go ahead spiderman, I'll be right here to back ya up
