Wooo! Nice upgrade from Comcast

Enjoy excessive downtime with hold times approaching 40 minutes with technicians that never show up, even after they call you saying that they are on their way.

We've been Comcrap customers since 11/09 with zero downtime, zero problems of any kind. Uverse was a constant battle...and while Dish was more reliable than Uverse, they kept pricing themselves out of my budget.

I know we dropped a T1 line to switch to Comcast business class for one office. It has either gone down or dropped connection at least once a month. No joke.

I'm no fan of Comcast, but I haven't had any downtimes and I've used their service since August 2005. Hold times can be long during peak hours, but that's to be expected in a metro area with 2-3 million people.

I've used Comcast for 6 years and I have had more good experiences than bad with them. However, the bad were so ridiculous it's hard to believe they happened. A few months back, they disconnected HD services for everyone using a specific model cable box (which they had rented to us), and made people call in to restore their HD service because apparently some customers with that box were getting better service than they paid for. What kind of idiotic company policy is that? Disconnect service for EVERYONE? How absurd is that?

Apart from that, I haven't found that Comcast deserves all the negative feelings that people have towards them. I've had worse experiences with Qwest and Verizon than with Comcast.

Oh And, obligatory FIOS > Comcast
(25/25 plan)

$119 is a fair deal for 250/15.

FIOS has a 150/35 tier for $199

Edit: Though I don't know if either are bundles or what. Quick google gave me the 199 price.

$64/mo. Feel kinda ripped off, but, nothing else in the area offers anywhere near this speed. Buddy of mine works for TWC, and he said my area should be getting a fiber loop real soon.

Yeah, I'm on TW also, and get about the same performance. I'm fine with the down, but c'mon at least double the up!

Now you can get to that 250GB download cap even quicker. I should cycle power on my modem and see if Comcast has improved my speeds. I'm using an older Docsis 2.0 modem so not sure if I can get the full improved speeds. I haven't kept up with that stuff.

Meh, I can take or leave Comcrap. It runs decent most of the time but when you do need customer service, it's like getting a root canal.

This

Powerboost makes you think you have a fast connection when you really don't.

Yea. With Charter I would test at 25mbps and even 30mbps+, but I coud never reach even 19mbps in download speeds.

With FioS I test at 30.71-30.72mbps with a 4-5ms ping every time, and when i dl it is exactly that speed.
